Reception found out about the signs of Autumn in England. They went on a walk to Sutton Lawn to see if they could see any of these signs. They saw lots of leaves that had changed colour, bare trees and even fungi.

After finding out about Autumn, Reception looked at the English celebration of Harvest festival, which happens in Autumn. They looked at different vegetables and used their fine motor skills to prepare the vegetables to make a soup. They also discussed different countries who are thankful for food too, like in America who have thanksgiving, in India they have pongal and there’s a yam festival in Africa.
